Overview

CORT Events provides furniture rental solutions to trade shows and events including festivals, weddings, corporate events, or even the Superbowl!  The Production Manager works collaboratively as a part of our operations team and will execute, direct and coordinate shipments into and out of the warehouse.  The Production Manager may also oversee deliveries at event and trade show venues and drives trucks as needed. 

 

Pay: $58,600-65,000 / year depending on experience

 

Schedule: Sunday thru Thursday and Tuesday thru Saturday option available.  Regular business hours but some nights and weekends will be required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the coordination and routing of show/event deliveries and pickups
  • Oversee the creation and management of schedules to ensure adequate coverage
  • Ogranize and prioritize the flow of communication to both internal and external customers
  • Direct dispatching and routing activities based on priority and / or business objectives
  • Track transportation vehicles/teams and communicate schedule deviances to necessary business units as well as external clients as appropriate
  • Determine and implement subsequent plans based on unforeseen circumstances
  • Ensure customer difficulties or problems are investigated, recorded, resolved. This may include, but is not limited to; creation of new and/or modification of existing SOP’s as well as implementation
  • Act as a business support role to the Operations Management Team through a collaborative relationship focused on implementation and/or support of policies, procedures, goals and objectives as related to outbound operational activities
  • Implement, monitor & report safety audits and train staff members on safety issues
  • Maintain knowledge of regulations related to transportation including those related to employee safety and freight classifications for both local and long-distance transportation activity
  • Ensure compliance with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, environmental policies and government regulations
  • Review and analyze expenditures and other financial information; uses results to develop and implement plans, policies and budgets.

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong logistical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or a related field required.
  • At least three years of related experience required.

Travel requirements:

  • Frequent travel using a personal vehicle is required
  • Valid NV Drivers License
